Session Title: Production and Delivery

The web has made life a bit more complicated as it relates to production and delivery of documents. Companies are supporting multiple output vehicles with customers demanding print or the web, and in many cases, both.

Technology is changing, adding complexity to the production and delivery of information but also affording a great deal of opportunity. Come and hear our panel talk about their experiences in this changing environment.

    Skip Henk Skip Henk, EDP, is President and CEO of Xplor International. As President/CEO he plans, formulates and recommends policies and programs which will further the objectives of the association; maintains relationships with other organizations; ensures that Xplor's leadership are kept informed on the conditions of the association, and establishes the organizational structure for the headquarters office.

    Skip has been involved in the industry for over 30 years both as an end user and vendor in a variety of technical, sales, marketing and managerial capacities. Skip has been part the Xplor community for over 25 years and has served on various committees including the EDP Certification, Vendor Advisory and Nominating Committees. He is a frequent speaker at industry events. Henk received his EDP is 1995.

  • Ernie Crawford, M-EDP (ID: 1604)
    Ernie Crawford Ernie Crawford, M-EDP, is President of Crawford Technologies Inc. He has over 23 years of experience with Xerox metacode, as well as AFP, PostScript, PDF and PCL print data streams. Mr Crawford designed and did the initial development of the PRO suite of software, which transforms between different print formats, extracts data from print streams and allows users to enhance print streams on Windows, z/OS and Unix. PRO software is also being marketed by IBM, LRS, EMC, Checkfree i-Solutions, Nearstar, Whitehill Technologies, ASE Technologies, Prinova Technologies and other companies. Ernie has trained many people on print streams over the years.

    Ernie received his EDP certification in 1997, recertified in 2003 and received his M-EDP in 2009. Mr. Crawford has spoken at many XPLOR conferences around the world and has twice contributed to the XPLORation Journal of Electronic Documents.
  • Georgina Hansell (ID: 1619)
    Georgina Hansell Georgina Hansell is the Manager of Product Development for AbitibiBowater. She has 33 years of industry experience and has been with the company for 30 years. Georgina was a key participant on the team that developed Ecopaque Laser, the first mechanical pulp-based laser paper that is both environmentally and economically preferable to traditional MOCR bond offerings. Georgina's specialties include root cause troubleshooting and project management to commissioning, as well as new product development. Another notably successful project of Georgina's was the development of eco-conscious uncoated freesheet substitute grades. Georgina has a BSc degree from the University of New Brunswick.
  • Anthony Leccese (ID: 1617)
    Anthony Leccese Anthony Leccese is the Product Manager for Output Solutions at Rochester Software Associates, Inc. Mr. Leccese has almost 20 years of experience in the print industry. Mr. Leccese joined RSA in 2004, and has spoken at a number of print industry tradeshows. During his tenure at RSA, he has managed a breadth of products, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Output Transform, Management, and Workflow Optimization. RSA's solutions are distributed by industry leaders including Canon, IKON, InfoPrint, Kodak, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Sharp, Toshiba, and Xerox.

    David Murphy David Murphy is the Vice President of Marketing for RISO, Inc. RISO manufactures and sells the ComColor series of inkjet printers, the fastest cut-sheet color inkjet printers on the market. For the past 18 years, David has held sales and marketing positions with the company and is currently responsible for the entire scope of marketing for North America. He holds an MBA and a BS degree in marketing and has conducted field research on user applications for ink-based printing systems in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. David has been a contributing writer for several print and online publications and a frequent speaker at print industry conferences.
  • Bill Riley (ID: 1559)
    Photo is not availble Bill has over 35 years hands on experience in the print mail industry. Bill spent 25 years with Wallace Computer in print and mailing services, and then moved to the technology side of our industry.

    In 1996 Bill joined Inspectron as a member of the founding management team. At Inspectron Bill was responsible for growing revenue and building partnerships in North and South America, Europe and Asia Pacific, and directly participated in the development and support of clients worldwide. When Inspectron merged with Formscan in 2002, Bill continued in his role as Senior VP of Sales until he left in 2007 to found Ironsides Technology as President.

    With Ironsides, Bill has created a uniquely open, customer focused, value-driven productivity software product to provide piece-level tracking and production efficiency in any size shop with any existing equipment. Ironsides Technology provides great value to its partners and end users alike.
