The 2010 Global Document Conference and Vendor Forum Wrap up

The 2010 Xplor Global Document Conference and Vendor Forum was held at the TradeWinds Island Grand Hotel and Conference Center on March 17-19, 2010.

The 70 session, 5 track event was made up of a combination of panel discussion as well as individual conference sessions featuring industry experts and analysts as well as leading edge end users.

In addition to conference and panel sessions, there was a robust Vendor Forum featuring leading industry vendors in the document industry as well as three networking events.

This is not your typical conference and exhibition, but an integrated experience that brings together leading edge end users, analysts, industry experts and vendors sharing information, experiences and solutions in a new dynamic format.

For Document Professionals: This is a must attend event and opportunity to attend educational sessions, expand your network, find solutions and share your knowledge.

For Vendors: The perfect forum to better understand end user challenges, product/service requirements, meet with customers and prospects and share your knowledge and experience.

Some interesting statistics about the 2010 event:

• 2010 registration was up 9% over 2009
• 65% of registered attendees were end users with 35% being vendors
• 23% of attendees were new to Xplor this year (14% end users and 9% vendors)
• 82% of the 2010 end users did not attend the 2009 conference
• 76% were from the United States, 11% from Canada and the remaining 13% were from Austria, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Mexico, Sweden, The Netherlands and United Kingdom
• 62% were Xplor members and 38% were non-members

Planning for next year:

Planning has already begun for the 2011 Xplor Document Conference and Vendor Forum. For planning purposes we are looking at:

• Location on the West Coast of Florida, very possibly the TradeWinds Island Grand Hotel and Conference Center again
  • Hotel rates will be approximately the same for 2011
• The event is being planned for the third or fourth week of March 2011
