DDD10511: Color Image Correction: Evaluation, Correction, Adjustment and Prep
In a production environment, you can't afford to take all day to evaluate and then correct or adjust a color image. You want to quickly assess the needs of an image and then make an accurate correction or adjustment.

This class includes techniques and tips for rapidly evaluating, correcting and adjusting color images. Some color images need color correction. Some images don't require color correction, but can be improved with color adjustments. And, some images may benefit from both. Knowing the difference between correction and adjustment and when each is required is important in helping you decide how to quickly and accurately edit your color images.

During this one-hour class you you will learn several techniques for calibrating color capture devices. The emphasis of the techniques is on quickly evaluating an image's needs, and then making fast, accurate color corrections and adjustments in a production environment. Techniques include:

  • Histogram based corrections
  • Curves corrections
  • Color by numbers tools, tips and techniques;
  • Neutralization tips for images without neutrals;
  • Target-based color calibration and image corrections
